8/18 Wednesday is a pretty little girl who happens to be leukemia positive. She came to us with 2 other kitties that had been rescued by a small rescue in Georgia. They placed her in a foster home. Sadly the foster home was losing her home, the rescue had no other place for the cats to go and an appointment to euthanize them was made. The foster home loved the cats and was desperate to not have them die and reached out to us. We were adding on to our building and lucky for them, were able to accept them. Wednesday is a very very friendly kitty, sweet as can be. Update - You may watch her live on her cat camera - She is in House 2 Room 4. She has had problems with her health and her remaining eye ended up needing removed. She is adjusting to being completely blind.

Sweet Wednesday came to us 8/2018 as a leukemia positive kitty with her 2 siblings from a small rescue in Georgia that had lost their foster home for them and scheduled them to be euthanized.    We were able to take them in. Wednesday went to the vet 10 days ago for losing weight   (we weigh the cats every week so we can see a trend very quickly.)  Her blood work showed she was anemic and was showing kidney and liver issues.     We returned to the vet yesterday because she was was peeing everywhere,  we thought she may have a UTI.  She spent the night in the hospital to try to get a urine sample.  X-rays showed a much worse problem,  she had a mass in her chest,  it was very large. She had a ultra sound this morning that confirmed it was a mass, not a cyst.  She also had a large sore in her mouth that appeared to be mouth cancer.   It was clearly time to let her go.  I held her in my arms as she crossed the rainbow bridge. When she arrived, she was a one eye cat.  She had a lot of problems with her remaining eye (she had herpes) and later lost that eye.  She adjusted very quickly to being completely blind.  It did not slow her down.   Wednesday was the sweetest of the 3 with the cutest little baby meow, almost like a kitten.  She would always run to you for attention and loved to sit in your lap.  She will be missed.  We were blessed to have been able to give her a year and 1/2 that she was not going to get. I am sorry Alana
