Zorro
4/4/2019 Zorro is a leukemia positive kitty. He arrived late yesterday from Dillon county animal control. (This is the same animal control that left Cookie in a crate in a storage room with no food/water/litter box for 3 days. ) He was very thin when he arrived but appeared to have a good appetite. He was taken to the vet this morning for a full workup. The vets found that he had jaundice and fluid in his abdomen. After some serious discussion with all 3 vets and serious soul searching the decision was made to let him go. I held this amazing sweet fellow as he went over the rainbow bridge. We knew that we could have tried all kinds of treatment on him trying to save him but it basically would have been torturing him and was not going to change our bottom line. We would still be right back here to euthanize him. He deserved better than that. We believe a cat should not suffer. It is better to go on a good day not a bad day. We gave him that. I so wish we had been able to have years with him.
