Angel arrive in early 2006 from a rescue in Florida. She was living in the same foster home with Maggie. When caught with 7 more cats than his landlord allowed and eviction hanging over the foster’s head, he returned Angel and Maggie back to the rescue. They contacted us asking us to take them. Angel is a very sweet gentle cat that gets along with every one. She lives up to her name. In 2012 she began having infections and problems with her “micro” eyes and they were removed. Update 2019 - Angel was 3 years old when she arrived according to the paper work that she arrived with, so she is now 16 years old. She is a very sweet old girl, just as loving as can be. She truly lives up to her name Angel. You may watch her 24 hours a day on her MeShare camera. House 1, room 3

8/10/2020 RIP Angel Sweet Angel was 4 years old when she purred her way into our lives 14 years ago. She had been in 2 other shelters, a rescue and a foster home before she came to us.  We promised her we would love and care for her and she would never lose another home. We kept that promise to her. Angel's health, as she has aged, has been a struggle but she had been doing pretty good until the last few months.  She was losing weight, struggling with pancreatitis and IBS.  She had doctor visits, ultrasounds, and lots of medicines.  She continued losing weight even though she was eating.  She had new blood work done on Thursday and it showed us her health struggles.  I knew the time to make a decision was coming soon.  Today she was not eating and was vomiting bile.  It was time to make a decision.  We could put her back in the hospital,  needles, IV's, barking dogs, last days in a cage and it not change our final outcome or let her go.  I choose to let her go. It was the right thing to do. I held her in my arms as she quietly went over the rainbow bridge. Angel lived us to her name. She was a sweet Angel.  She loved everyone,   She was so friendly and loved to visit with the visitors and staff.  She will be so missed by everyone.  We were so blessed to have been loved by her for  14 years. My heart is shattered.
