Trixie & alice
7/2022 Trixie came to us with her siblings, Alice & Scamper from a rescue in Florida. They are all leukemia positive. The cats had been trapped by a trapper and stayed in a foster home for a while who was not properly caring for them. A rescue some how got involved and took possession of the cats. Trixie has severe entropion. That is an abnormality of the eye in which the eyelid turns inwards. She will need surgery to correct it. She is shy but coming around. You will be able to watch them live when they go into their room on their live cat camera. They will be in House 1, room 1 HERE

Update: She has had her eyes taken care of. She is still not so sure how she feels about us
5/9/2023 This is an unexpected letter to be writing today.  We took Trixie to the vet this morning because she was breathing abdominally. She had to be sedated to examine.  Xrays told the nightmare story,  her chest was full of fluid.  The vet tapped her chest and it was a very bloody fluid.  Being a FELV cat this is not something fixable and the most humane thing to do was to let her go.  Trixie was a very shy cat, she loved to play, she cuddled a lot with her sister Alice and Bear, and she loved to eat churu's.  If you sat on the floor she would come up to you for back scratches and she loved to chase the flies and watch the birds on the catio.  Trixie, Alice and her brother Scamper (who were lost soon after they came to us) came to us after being trapped by a TNR group.  They had been in a foster home that was not caring for them properly.  The rescue asked if we could help them.  With us, she had 10 months of living inside, warm, dry,  not hungry, and being cared for.  Your support gave her that miracle and we all thank you so much!!! We will always remember her!
