Boots
2011 Boots is a nice fellow who is FELV/FIV+. He came to us June 2011. He was found as a stray and the people did not feel safe in keeping him with their other cats. (They apparently have alpha type cats who they felt would fight with Boots) He is very sweet, a little shell shocked but I think he will do ok. We had his bad eye removed and he is recovering nicely from surgery. UPDATE 10/2013 Boots is now approx. 4 years old and a love bug. 7/2015 He has been diagnosed with cancer. He does not appear to be in pain. We are treating him with medications and keeping him comfortable for the time he has. Sponsored by Douglas - Thank you! Sponsored by Jennifer - Thank you! Sponsored by Ray - Thank you! Sponsored by Kerry in memory of Moo Moo Kitten - Thank you! Sponsored by Michael - Thank you! 3/16/2016 As you know from the newsletter Boots has been dealing with cancer for a while. We have had blood, x-rays, ultrasounds, medication and a feeding tube in the last few months. The last few days he has been very quiet and yesterday stopped eating. Appetite stimulant and everything else we could think of did not work. His gums were pale, his respiration rate was increased. He looked so tired, the brightness of life had left his eyes. It was time. I held him and said goodbye and he returned to his maker.
