Casey
Casey came to us from the Wake County Animal control center where
her family had dropped her off at the pound because she had become
blind and having potty issues. She is very sweet but shy with the other
cats. She has the softest fur we have ever felt. She is a very nice
little girl.
2015 Casey has had a rough time health wise. She started
losing weight. The vets found a “thing” in her lungs.
She was on antibiotics for months and had a feeding tube
with little improvement. Finally surgery was done and
they found it was a benign cyst. She is doing much better.
You may watch her 24 hours a day LIVE on her MESHARE
camera. She is in building 2, room 3

4/25/19 RIP Casey, This is a sad letter to be writing today.
Casey came to us from animal control 8 years ago where she
was on the euthanasia list.
She has had some struggles with her health over the years, a
cyst in her lungs, operation, feeding tube etc. Recently she has
been struggling with her kidneys. She has been fighting a horrible
infection, going to the vet 6 times this year, had the bacteria
tested to find the right antibiotic to use, etc. We sadly were
dealing with a very bad antibiotic resistant bacteria. We had
her back at the vet today to see if there was anything else we
could do. Her look said love me enough to let me go. Her little
body just could not do it any more. The vet and I agreed it was
time to let her go, she had had enough. I held her in my arms
as she left this world.
Casey was a very sweet little girl who loved every one. My
beautiful little fox, you will be very missed.
I am sorry
Alana
