Timmy
12/2017 Timmy is a cute leukemia positive kitty who came to us after being trapped and neutered. He was obviously a very friendly kitty so the trappers were going to try to find him a home until he tested FELV positive. They tried to find a place for him with no success and sadly made an appointment with their vet to euthanize him. Their vet contacted us and plead for his life. Sadly we had had an opening so we had the space for him. He is a fun friendly fellow who is going to be fun to watch him shake up the older fellows with an older kitten. Sponsored by Barbara - Thank you! Sponsored by Kimberley - Thank you! Sponsored by Elizabeth - Thank you! Sponsored by Jill - Thank you! Sponsored by Ginger - Thank you! Sponsored by Sharon - Thank you! Sponsored by Sarah - Thank you! Sponsored by Steven in Holly’s memory - Thank you! Sponsored by Terry - Thank you! 10/22/2018 RIP Timmy - This is a difficult letter to write. We noticed today that Timmy was not acting like his normal self, and refused to eat. We took him to the vet and asked that they work him up to see what was going on. While I was there with him, the vet and I noticed his respiration rates were increased but we felt (hoped) that it was stress. She did blood work, was going to do x-rays to see about his breathing. Before she could do the x-rays they saw that he had blood in his urine and he was now having serious difficulties breathing. He was open mouth panting. He was immediately put on Oxygen and given a breathing treatment with zero improvements. She called me and started telling me what was happening, I heard 1/2 of it and said I am on my way. I had said to her when I dropped him off that I was afraid today was going to be his day. He just had "that look". I held him in my arms as he crossed the rainbow bridge. We were blessed to have been able to give him 10 months of life that he was not going to get. (The rescue that had him was going to euthanize him because he was FELV+, their vet pled for his life.) He was a fun playful character who gave us hours of entertainment with his big personality. He will be missed. I am sorry Alana
