Yoshi
2008 Yoshi was a little stray living outside and being taken care of by
elderly man. He was put into hospice care and was not expected to
live much longer. His caretaker got to work and started trying to find
homes for them to go. Not only did she drive 3 hours to bring him to
us, she also paid to have him fixed, shots and combo tested.
He is a very friendly fellow who loves to sit in your lap.
You may watch him LIVE 24 hours a day on his MeShare camera.
He is in house 1, room 1.
2020 Update. Yoshi has been diagnosed with a tumor on his pancreas
and is now a diabetic. He is still a wonderful loving fellow.

6/8/2021 This is a letter I am very surprised to be writing this morning.
Yoshi came to us 13 years ago after his owner was being put into a
nursing home. We think he is around 16 years old. Through the last
few years, he has had some health issues which is not unusual for an
older cat. He became hyperthyroid, we had it treated with radiation
therapy, He developed nodules on his pancreas and became diabetic
which we were managing with insulin, He had developed heart
disease, hypertensive, and had IBD. He has a lot going on.
This morning he was not doing well. His gums were white, he was
abdominally breathing and just not doing well. I rushed him to the vet.
The vet pulled blood and put him into the O2 cage. He was
progressively doing worse, the vet felt that he was in heart failure
and he really needed a cardiologist. The cardiologist is 2 hours
away in Raleigh...and at the rate he was decompensating, I did not
think he would survive the drive. We decided to let him go. I held
him in my arms for the last time as he went over the rainbow bridge.
Yoshi was the sweetest kitty who loved everyone. He was a snuggle
bug who loved to cuddle with all the other cats. He gave the humans
hugs. We will miss him.
